A studio foroutliers

Curtosis is a small team of engineers and designers in India. We build AI agents, automations, web scrapers, apps and websites for businesses around the world, and you talk directly to the people building yours.

Why the name

Curtosis is Spanish for kurtosis: the statistic that tells you how heavy a distribution’s tails are, which is how often results land far from the average.

Most products end up in the middle of the curve: built from the same templates, tuned to the same defaults. We name ourselves after the tails, because that’s where we want the things we build to land.

What we hold to

Start with the real problem.
We get precise about users, constraints and what success needs to look like before anything is designed.
Ship the clearest version.
We work in tight loops, make decisions visible and keep progress tangible.
Measure, don't guess.
Real users and held-out tests decide what's good, not demos or opinions.
Leave room for what's next.
Good systems are understandable and ready to grow without drama.

How we work

  1. 1κ 2.0

    Discover

We start with the problem, not the feature list: who it's for, what's in the way, and what success looks like in numbers.

  2. 2κ 2.4

    Prototype

We make the riskiest part real first, so decisions are based on something you can click, not a slide.

  3. 3κ 3.0

    Build

Short cycles with working software every week. You see progress in a link, not a status report.

  4. 4κ 3.8

    Launch

We ship carefully, with monitoring, analytics, performance budgets and a way back if something goes wrong.

  5. 5κ 5.6

    Evolve

We measure what happened and improve what matters, or hand over cleanly with documentation your team will actually use.
